The All American Daylily Selection Council
(AADSC) is an organization that administers a network of test
sites throughout North America, which perform rigorous evaluations
of daylily cultivars, taking into account over 50 criteria.
The Dilema for todays gardener is selecting from more than
40,000 different cultivars that have been registered.
Since 1985 the AADSC has tested or evaluated
nearly 6,000 hemerocallis (daylilies) available in commerce.
Using test protocols developed by Executive Secretary Angelo
Cerchione, the AADSC has developed a baseline for excellence
in daylily performance. Daylilies earning the AADSCs
All American designation show superior performance across
at least five USDA hardiness zones. The AADSC differs from
many other awards programs in that its
results are based on scientific methodology.
